Biography of Martyr Mahmoud Reza Beyzai

Martyr Mehmood Reza Beyzai was born on 9th December 1981 inTabriz in a family with religious and spiritual roots. He passed his elementary and high school in Tabriz. During high school education, membership of Martyr Babaei Resistance Base – Fourteen Infallible (as) Mosque of Tabriz Flight Town – The income and continuous presence among the Basijis of the Base, created the first split of love for the Resistance, sacrifice and martyrdom.

During this same time, he became familiar with an artist baseeji Behzad Parveen Qods. This familiarity later was the basis for the familiarity of the acquisition of the written and visual heritage of the Holy Defense and the love towards the culture of the war front and the war. Visiting and interviews with the family of the martyrs, compiling the memoirs of the martyrs, and collecting the books and the publications in the field of literature of the Holy Defence were some of the fruits that came along with familiarity with Haj Behzad.

He was an athlete, and was fond of Karathe very much. He was engaged in Karathe since he was 10 years old. During the year 1993, along with Azerbaijan East, in the international competition of ‘Quadripartite’ in Tabriz, he reached the level of championship. Football was another sport he was fond of and was looking to build a professional career in this sport. However because of his studies, he discontinued it. During the year 1999, after receiving his high school diploma in the field of Experimental Science, he departed for military services. He passed the training course in Ardakan, Yazd and continued with his service Al Zahra(sa) army corps air force in Tabriz.

The close acquaintance with the Holy Institution of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps is known to be a turning point in the life of Martyr Beyzai. After completing the military service, despite the encouragement of those around him to continue his studies at the University, he chose to join the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps at his own discretion. In February 2004, he was recruited in the Officer’s course in Imam Ali (as) school. His entrance in the school of officers made him to migrate from Tabriz to Tehran, and this migration led him to continue his life as a Jehad (struggler) in the way of Allah. He had chosen the name Husain Nusrati for himself while in the corps which according to him was taken from the call of Imam Husain (as) – Hal Min Naserin Yansurna and was a metaphor as an answer to Imam Husain (as). He graduated from the school of officers in September 2009 and then he stepped on a path that, until the last moment of his apparent life, saw no hesitation in moving on. Overworking including sleeping hours everyday and night were among his known characteristics in such a way that he had agreed to work even on Fridays in one of the offices and in this way he had no break from his work. He believed that martyrdom in the way of Allah is for someone who works all the time in the way of Allah and he would show the martyrs of the imposed war as the witness to his words.

As he was fond of his work alot therefore he did not return to Tabriz in order to start a family. And therefore on 15th March 2009,which was also birth anniversary of Holy Prophet saw and Imam Jafar Sadiq as, he got married to a Revolutionary lady Fazle and settled in Tehran. This marriage yield a daughter name Kausar who was born on 15th March 2013.

Mahmoud Reza’s indescribable love for Imam Khomeini’s universal cause, the formation of the Islamic World Movement, had created a special spirit that he had longed to pursue in his struggle until the outbreak of war in Syria. He would always read about religion and politics, and would analyze the domestic and foreign news and events specially the changes that happened in the Muslim world and he would always analyse all of this. He was consciously and abundantly zealous towards Islamic Revolution, Leader and the Islamic system. He could not relax and or be calm day and night during the sedition of the year 2009. He watched all the news and events of the sedition, and risked his life several times in the face of the hard defense of the Islamic Revolution during the sedition. He held the position and argued  (debate) well in the discussions. He said that the Revolution was the only hope for the weakest in the world and that any threat to the existence of the Islamic Revolution could weaken the front of the weak and those interested in the Islamic Revolution in the world and he was deeply concerned about this.

Mahmoud Reza was fluent in Arabic and spoke it in Iraqi and Syrian dialects and due to this he had a close and intimate acquaintance with the fighters of the Islamic World Movement. He had a good relationship with the Islamic Resistance of Lebanon and Hezbollah fighters, as well as with the weak Shiites and Iraqi Mujahideen, and he praised them. With the outbreak of war in Syria since the year 2008, he deliberately set out for Syria to defend the Holy Shrines and the Front of Resistance. Frequent volunteer deployments and continued presence on the Syrian front had established the spirit of militancy and in the last two years of his apparent life, he literally had the life of a fighter. He had also sought to collect war documents on the Syrian front because of his suspension of patronage as a teenager when he would collect the documents related to the Holy Defense War. Each time he returned to Iran, he brought with him traces of the war, including images captured with his camera whatever traces was left by the Takfiris in the conflict scenes. He attributed the peak of his success while being at the Operation when during the 9th of Muharram in the year 2013, the province of “Hajira” around the Shrine of Lady Zainab (sa) was completely liberated and resulted in the cleansing of the Shrine up to a few kilometers from the temple of Takfiris.

In his last dispatch during January 2013 he announced to his close companion that after this dispatch there is no return for him and he had been seeking for his burial site two months before. Finally after 2 years in Syria while being at the front, on the afternoon of January 23, which coincided with the birth anniversary of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) and Imam Jafar Sadiq (AS) during clashes with the arrogant Takfiri mercenaries while commanding an operational axis in the Qasemiyyah region, in South Eastern Damascus, he was martyred as a result of a blast trap in his head and chest.

In one of the manuscripts left by Martyr Beyzai, he has interpreted the Syrian front as “the front line of the battle between right and wrong” and insisted that “this fence should not fall”. He has written : “The whole world has come together; all arrogance, infidels, Zionists, American Islamist, vicious and man killer Wahhabis have all formed a united front, and their aim is to defeat true and Ashurai Islam, Iran’s leadership, and to defeat the movement that is being prepared for the reappearance of Imam Mahdi (atfs). And In this seditious atmosphere, unfortunately, many uninformed and extremist Muslims have also come together to defeat this religion and this  movement that, if that happens, will take many years and maybe even hundreds of years for the Shiites to witness the divine promise. “
