He was only 8 to 9 years old when he learned reciting Ziyarat of Ashura. I myself taught him. He also loved reciting of the Holy Quran.

On Thursday nights there were gatherings of lamentations at his grandfather’s house. He was fond of such gatherings since childhood. To serve the people at such gatherings and reciting lamentations, all these were of utmost importance for him.
