Our dowry was one Quran and one gold coin.
After marriage I did not accept the gold coin, but Muhammad brought a Quran after our marriage and wrote on it’s first page: ‘I hope that this book becomes the foundation for us to move together towards Allah.’
Whenever, after his martyrdom I feel depressed or unwell, I read what he had written and feel better.
