(as narrated by the martyr’s mother)
He would offer his prayers and fast since childhood. When I would try to wake up his sisters in the morning for prayers, I would see that he would wake up early and perform his prayers. His father would recite Quran after the morning prayers. He would ask him to recite it loudly.
During the month of Ramadan, I would not tell him anything when he would fast. But at times when he would fast even without doing his Seheri (midnight meal), I would have no other way but to shout at him. Not because I didn’t want him to fast. But when I used to see that he is weaker than his sisters, my heart would cry for him. I would tell him to wait till he reaches his obligatory age. When he became older he would fast even more. He would do alot of vows. I would keep breakfast for him in the morning. When I would come back, I would see that he’s not eaten anything. When he would return, he would say that he’s fasting. He would always perform his prayers on time.
